The mission of the Oklahoma Celiac Support Group is to make a positive difference in the lives of those living with Celiac Disease by providing support, education and opportunities to interact with fellow celiacs, as well as encourage the strict adherence to a gluten-free diet to promote a healthy and happy life.

The Oklahoma City Celiac Support Group meets on the second Tuesday of the month. General Support Group Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of odd numbered months (January, March, May, July, September, November). Business Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of even numbered months(February, April, June, August, October, December). All meetings are held at Integris Baptist Hospital, except for the Annual Holiday Dinner in November. General support group meetings consist of education in the form of speakers and/or information on Celiac Disease and the gluten free diet. Gluten free refreshments and drinks are served and of course, there is always time to talk with others who live with Celiac Disease.

Location: Integris Baptist Hospital, Conference Room J, K, L
Program: Becky Pierson, author of Aunt Becky's Fast and Yummy Gluten Free Wheat Free Recipes, will highlight her cookbook and a few of her favorite recipes. She will have cookbooks available for sale and autographing. Ms. Pierson is the former vice-president of the Oklahoma Celiac Support Group. After moving from Oklahoma City to Arkansas, Ms. Pierson founded a support group in Holiday Island, AR, where she now resides with her husband.
Also: a short internet tutorial will be presented on the OKCeliac website, blog, iGoogle, RSS feeds and Facebook.
All families are asked to bring a gluten free refreshment with all ingredients verified as being gluten free. If it is a homemade item, please bring the recipe including name brands of all items used. All ingredients should be clearly displayed, keeping in mind that some of our members may have food allergies other than gluten, may be lactose intolerant or diabetic. Drinks will be provided. See you there!

This is the most wonderful gluten free get-together all year. Our support group provides gluten free turkey, ham and drinks. All members are asked to bring a gluten free side dish or dessert to accompany the meal. All ingredients should be clearly displayed, keeping in mind that some of our members may have food allergies other than gluten, may be lactose intolerant or diabetic. Drinks will be provided. Bring your recipe card so that we can post all recipes on our web site.
