In order to enhance the awareness of graduate students' career planning and enhance their planning ability and competitiveness, the School of Environmental and Safety Engineering held a special lecture on graduate career planning in Building 401 of Main A on November 8. This event invited Xiaohong, a teacher from the career planner class, to be the keynote speaker, and Li Tongqing, a graduate student counselor, presided over the event, and all 2023 graduate students participated in the event.

Ms. Ban Xiaohong first explained the qualities and abilities that outstanding graduate students should possess and how to spend the graduate stage through several excellent cases of graduate development. She pointed out that new graduate students should complete the transformation of their identity and mentality, have a clear and accurate positioning of themselves, clearly recognize their own strengths and weaknesses, recognize the situation, adjust their mentality, and take positive actions, and at the same time learn to "borrow", make good use of resources, and take the initiative to seek help from their supervisors and classmates. Subsequently, Ms. Ban Xiaohong communicated with the students from three aspects: the overview of career planning, the theory and method of career planning, and the writing of graduate career planning books. By showing the students the excellent career planning books of the previous years, the steps and key points of career planning were explained in detail. She emphasized that an excellent career planning book is by no means a patchwork fantasy book, nor is it a casual imitation, but a combination of their own reality, telling their own career stories.

This activity not only solved the confusion of students in employment and career planning, made everyone further clarify their future development direction, but also effectively guided everyone to establish a correct concept of career development and answer the graduate answer sheet with practical actions.
