Product Review: Erewhon Strawberry Crisp

Today I am going to spotlight one of the newest gluten free cereals out there. I had one this cereal in a giveaway a few months ago. I have just spotted it on the shelves at Buy for Less in Oklahoma City on Portland and NW Expressway in their new gluten free section (located by the pharmacy)! I was so excited!
Erewhon Strawberry crisp is manufactured by U.S. Mills and here is what they say about the product:
"Erewhon® Strawberry Crisp™ is a delicious beginning to your day. We blend two popular grains, brown rice and corn, to make one great tasting flake. The flakes are oven-toasted to crispy perfection, then lightly sweetened. Finally, we add tasty strawberries to make Strawberry Crisp a true treat bursting with sweet, natural flavor. There are no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives added. And best of all, Erewhon Strawberry Crisp is gluten free."
I would tend to agree that is very yummy! However the strawberries are freeze-dried so that can be a turnoff for some people. Also, my bag of cereal had settled and was only about 1/2 the box. Also, it is easy to crunch so be careful, I had a lot of crumbs at the bottom of the box.
Aside from that the taste was slightly sweet and the strawberries made it extra special. So give it a try and see how you like it. Also check out the above link, it lists all the gluten free cereals made by U.S. Mills.
